Entire series of Battlefield games will also be liked by him. Call of Duty 2 has more of crisis than challenges. Battlefield games have both.

If your dad likes simple shoot em up games with little strategy, Call of Duty 2 is fun. It’s really easy to learn. I played it for the first time last weekend. I played for about 3 hours straight but I got bored because I don’t like playing against the computers. I rarely play video games but have played doom 3.
Bottom line: He probably will enjoy it. Good luck!

COD 2 is a very good game and the Battlefield games are a good series as well. I have played all of them and I would reccomend either Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142. The single player aspect is better on COD but the multiplayer aspect is better on Battlefield. It all depends on if he wants to play online or not.

Depends what he likes. If he likes WWII games then Call Of Duty 2 is the way to go. You can probably even get him more than one game, since COD2 has been out for a while now. Other WWII games on PC are:
Battlefield 1942 (and its expansions, kinda outdated but still fun)
Medal of Honor series (more story driven)
Non-WWII games which seem to be enjoyed are:
Pariah
Half-Life
Halo series

i loved the game and some games which i think are even better are:
battlefield1942
battlefield 2
battlefield 2142
all of these made me happy with great graphics and gameplay.
also their online multiplayer capabilities keep amazing me because of the constant challenge of better players out there.
